WHY HERITAGE VIDEOS?
We’ve all heard stories from older generations; how they met their spouse, coming to America, their time in the war, or a message of faith. But after they leave, we forget some details and wish to revisit those stories.
Allow us to record these memories in their own words, with their own emotion to create a heartwarming, living, breathing legacy.
At JumpCut Pictures, we capture the thoughts, memories and heritage so they can be shared for years to come. We sit down and video record the emotions and expressions of your loved one to create a video biography.
What to Expect:
We will share a small list of possible questions ahead of time, but we don’t expect, nor do we want, prepared statements. These questions are designed to “get the juices flowing” and remember past memories. We schedule a few hours to setup our cameras, record our discussion and cleanup. Our discussion will last about an hour-and-a-half. Then, depending on the package, we will edit the video and share it with you or your family.
Packages:
- Basic package:
- Preliminary phone call to set-up time and discuss our plans for the day
- We arrive and select a quiet, comfortable location
- Add a small battery powered light or two (providing person is comfortable with that)
- Clip on a microphone for good audio. During COVID, we can use a boom microphone.
- 1½ hour video recorded interview/discussion
- Essentially, no editing. No added pictures.
- Export to DVD or post to a private link on YouTube
- Silver package: Everything from Basic, plus…
- Record photos while at the house
- Select editing to add photos during interview and simple clean-up of interview
- Export to DVD, Blu-ray or post to private link on YouTube
- Gold package: Everything from Silver, plus…
- Heavily edited program to clean up interview and cover with pictures. Think of this as a mini-documentary or news story.
- Other options include:
- Add family movies. We can transfer films to include in your program. We will incorporate into the finished piece, but we can also provide the unedited film in a video format.
- Filming of photo album as interview is occurring. This allows the person to page through a photo album and point out key images. This would be a two-camera filming process.
